Nature Diary...Tree Pruning

How lovely it was to see the two Tree Pruners arriving today, and what a beautiful job they did of pruning the Eucalyptus tree! 
The growth spurt was, as is usual with Eucalyptus trees, reaching for the sky, so it had to be told 'No', which it has now had to accept.
But once more it has been very gracious in so doing.
So now it can have a happier summer just taking things easy.

Tha collage shows in the lower  photo how it looked first thing this morning (photo blipped on April 13th) while the top picture shows how it looks now after being pruned today.

And the tree surgeons worked chearfully, professionally and,during a teabreak with buttered toast and chocolate digestives biscuits, took time out to chat about recent local happenings which we all laughed over!! 

A great start to the day and a beautifully pruned Eucalyptus tree as well.
