Coffee, funky Monkey & well well Well

A fairly full day today and the weather has been lovely again.

This morning youngest had an appointment with a lady at Ashton library that seemed to go pretty well in that it lasted an hour and a further one has been made for next week. That's a result and I hope it bears fruit.

Afterwards I took her for a coffee and a scoop of ice cream at the Bridge Cafe at Portland Basin. Some volunteers were busy smartening up the community boat 'Community Spirit 2' with some fresh blue paint.

After popping back home we exchanged the Leaf for a Biscuit and rode out to visit Dad in hospital. They had him settled in a Ward, a scan had been done on his back and he was much more comfortable. Am hopeful he will be home tomorrow afternoon when results have come through fingers crossed. Parked next to Biscuit outside was a super cute little Honda Monkey :-) (extra 1)

Later after giving the back lawn a trim & having a baked potato for tea, a wander was taken back to Yew Tree Lane armed with GPS Logger and lovely Ms.Arell on the phone instructing me how to drop an 'X marks the spot' next to the stone lintel in the wall mentioned in yesterday's Blip.

Extra 2 is two screenshots combined - Google Earth above & OS 25 Inch mapping from between 1892 & 1914 below. The lighter path is actually a track on the golf course, the lane is within the line of trees and am fairly confident that the stone lintel is the Well. Mystery sorta solved?
