Mingary Burn

Bertie and I didn’t see anyone else in our walk this morning. We walked alongside Loch Tor (extra) where I hadn’t been since the forestry plantation was felled and cleared, leaving lovely open views of the loch and surrounding hills. This loch is actually man-made when the Mingary Burn (main) was dammed well over a hundred years ago to make a good fishing loch. It was calm enough today to see the rings of water where the fish were rising. The gorse is beautiful this year, making large splashes of gold across the island.
