MACINTYRE!

Day 1 of Loopfest in Shrewsbury tonight and the first major offering of the weekend was The Futureheads at Shrewsbury Castle. It was great fun despite the rain* and the relatively low capacity meant it felt like a pretty intimate gig. One of the highlights was The Old Dun Cow that had the whole crowd shouting back MACINTYRE.

They were supported by Adult Play*, a band I came across listening to The Salopian Mixture podcast, even seeing one of the hosts of that in the crowd. It was a brilliant night and being child free meant we could even go out for a couple of drinks afterwards too. Not a bad way to start Louisa's birthday weekend.
