Just watching

Bursts of lovely sunshine and a chance to sit in the garden with a book.

Merlin told me about a Bullfinch but when I glanced up and saw him, with his brilliant plumage, I was too slow with my camera. He must have been unaware of me at first but he flew off. He was around last year, along with Mrs Bullfinch. I must be observant.

Merlin also told me about a Linnet, a Stonechat and, far less probable, a Great Reed Warbler.

I knew the smaller of my two robins was there, swinging in the hanging flat feeder, making himself at home…….
