Stream banks and field edges...

...that's where the best smells are to be found.
Rusty will probably be headed home tomorrow with Claire so this may be the last chance to blip him for a while. We were on the same walk as yesterday, finishing up at the old farmhouse. The extra photo shows the opposite view to yesterday, looking from the farmhouse steps across to the birch trees I took yesterday's blip from.
All the animals round here either cross this stream, come down to it to drink, or live in or next to it. Beaver, lemmings, badger, roe deer, elk, red deer, mice...  no wonder Rusty spends a lot of the walk sniffing around here.
