Insects

Actually, a spider is an arachnid and not an insect but what's two legs to do with it?
It was a long dog walk today - long, as in time not distance. First off, I noticed 'things' crawling over a dandelion seedhead....closer inspection showed several shield beetles. Then, further on, a delightful spider - a decent size - amongst the nettles. A long conversation later on with a 'neighbour' doing his garden. So all in all a not-very-quick-but-enjoyable walk (sunny and warm too).
Later, a three-way 'match a slide' competition hosted by a local club. All good fun and, pleased to report, my club won! (Not that I am competitive!!)
