Moving on Day - Tuesday

We didn’t go for a pre breakfast walk this morning , packed up then breakfast. We will be back at this hotel for 1 night on Saturday.

Walked to the car hire place which was down at the bus station. The rain started so after getting the car and back to hotel to pick up bags we decided to go to the Postojna Caves and the Castle. Didn’t take too long down the motorway. We were in with the English speaking guide (of course) and we all got on a train for about 10 mins to get to the main area . All I can say is that I have never seen anything like this ever. The sheer size, beauty and variety of this huge area took my breath away. Stalagmites and stalagtites of every shape and size and no picture could ever fully capture the caves (which are huge )!

Next up was a drive to the castle made out of rocks . It was still raining so a good choice to go there for the day.

A drive now to Lake Bled area. We arrived around 7pm. First sight of Lake Bled made me gasp at the colour of the water and all the surrounding beauty.
Our apartment is in a village outside Bled. It’s very nice . Owned by Herman and Isily who live next door. They are very nice hosts and gave us lots of info. He speaks 7 languages and she is Cuban. I am always impressed at anyone that can speak many languages as compared with us here than usually just speak one.
