Used books for sale

Cycle ride first, to Granton harbour. Found a new path - turned off the Ferry Road path at the sign for Granton Primary school, then through Granton Crescent park. Has shallow steps at the shore end.

Not much doing at the harbour, a couple of ribs being rowed around the moorings. Out in shorts and without a jacket for the first time this year.

By no 23 bus to Holy Corner in the afternoon to survey the Christian Aid booksale. This closed during Covid, and is reported to be much smaller than it was in previous years; it was maybe a third of the volume of the booksales we put on in Los Altos 4 times a year. The vintage books still available (the best things would have gone on the first day, Saturday) were pricey for what they were, and more damaged than I'd have put on sale ..

Wandered down to Harrison Park, then remembered about row boats for hire at the canal. Talked to M and S and Andrew and waved at T in a boat. Walked along to the city end of the canal; hundreds of new flats there since we moved from that neighbourhood 18 months ago, getting closer to being complete. No 11 bus to George Street, then back through Queen St gardens just before the heavy showers started.
