Harbour

At the end of the day, we decided to take a walk for a drink at The Star. I like to take a seafront walk as much as possible as I feel this is why I am coming here. There was a lovely view over the harbour with the boats and the lights of Portsmouth way off in the background. It wasn’t too cold, so it was no surprise that there was no real fire in the pub. It was a surprise to see that live music was planned so we stayed for the first half of the singer. PY claimed there was a sausage and cider festival on, but we had neither: he had an ale, and I had red wine, and a couple of packets of pork scratchings and bacon fries got us through the evening until we got home. We’d pulled a pizza from the freezer, which we cooked for dinner (although there was another one on offer at lunchtime, so we effectively replaced one with another).

We ended the evening watching the Isle of Wight: Jewel of The South programme, which is always lovely to watch on The Island. We did a couple of Slow Horses episodes, which were unplanned, but we got hooked.
