Life is a Challenge!

NOT ANOTHER BLIPMEET?

We had arranged to meet Simon again today and decided that Exford was about halfway for both of us, so we set off in the pouring rain - again!

We got there before Simon so had a wander around and I was thrilled to spot some dereliction after we had parked the car. Not having taken part in the DS challenge for a while, I decided that I would do a dereliction collage as my main shot today, with the best shot of dereliction being the three of us!

As Simon had brought Logan, a friend’s whippet, we seemed to attract dogs so the second collage is a doggy one!

We had coffee in the Exford Bridge Tearooms, before going on a riverside walk along the banks of the River Exe - there’s a surprise - and what a lovely walk it was! It was peaceful with just the sounds of the river tumbling over rocks and various birds singing - Simon is a great person to have on a walk because he is very knowledgeable about birds - and every so often he made us stop, close our eyes and just listen. What bliss and something many of us never do.

After our circular walk, we headed back to the Exford Bridge Tearooms where Bruce, the owner welcomed us back and we had a great lunch. In the doggy collage, you will see Bruce, singing the American National Anthem, whilst Simon was attempting to sing our National Anthem - neither were doing a good job - sorry chaps - perhaps Bruce should stick to cooking and Simon should stick to bird watching!

It's worth visiting the Tearoom - just say Mrs HCB sent you - because I told Bruce about Blip - and blessed several people with one of my hearts- including Bruce, of course!

All in all a lovely day. We drove back to Porlock in the rain - again - but the sun has come out now - perhaps tomorrow may be brighter.

Once again apologies for no comments - but I appreciate all yours and the stars and hearts.
