Yurt

Uzbekistan day 7 updated now with signal! After leaving Bhukara we visited a ceramics workshop at Gijduvan and picked up some pieces. Then on to Alexander the Great’s fort at Nurata and the Chashma Spring complex renowned for healing water and protected fish
Lunch was at a family home , totally delicious!
Then a drive out into the Kyzylkum desert near Lake Aidarkul in a yurt. As soon as we arrived we were taken to the “ beach”, to swim which was excellent and really refreshing. We watched camel wrangling and hand cow milking before dinner
This is our yurt: it has an electric light but communal showers toilets and restaurant. After dinner there was traditional singing around the campfire.
