The Gowan Hill

Most photos of Stirling Castle are taken from the King's Park or Royal Gardens side. This is from the Gowan Hill, and features the hill in the foreground. You get a good view of the Great Hall (cream coloured building) from this side. Try going large.

The Gowan Hill is forgotten gem in Stirling. Lots of paths, good views and varying vegetation - but always very quiet. It is Camerawoman's favourite Stirling dog walking route.
