Escape Plan

On This Day In History
1897: Poet and playwright Oscar Wilde is released after two years in prison

Quote Of The Day
"The vilest deeds like poison weeds
Bloom well in prison air.
It is only what is good in man
That wastes and withers there."
(The Ballad Of Reading Gaol, Oscar Wilde)

It's raining, but I'm not wasting and withering inside. I'm happily planning my summer holiday in Los Angeles with A. Some things we shall definitely do are:

1.) visit Galaxy's Edge - I absolutely must build a lightsaber in Saavi's Workshop
2.) visit the Bradbury Building where the hunt between Rick Deckard and Roy Batty played out in Blade Runner
3.) visit Dodger Stadium for a tour and to see a game so that A can fulfill his dream of seeing Shohei Ohtani play live.

Some other possibilities are to:

1.) visit Vasquez Rocks Natural Area and Nature Center where Captain Kirk did battle with the Gorn in the Star Trek episode Arena
2.) visit the Petersen Automative Museum
3.) visit the Hollywood Museum
4.) visit the Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Park and Japanese Garden aka Starfleet Academy

It's gonna be great! Any blippers in Los Angeles who would like a geeky blipmeet are welcome to join us.
