You're Beautiful

With her beautiful iridescent wings glistening as they caught the light this morning she was easy to spot but not too easy to photograph. She kept flitting from patch to patch and leaf to leaf but with a longish lens all I needed was a clear view through the nettles. 

The banks of the River Severn have really woken up and the lakes nearby are flooded with damselflies which lift off as you walk past. There were a few four-spotted chasers and a hairy dragonfly - the former far more obvious as they perch obligingly.
