Flower Sunday

We've had another lovely day, not doing very much!  The weather has continued to be amazing - warm and sunny.  We went out for a cooked breakfast in Kirkby Stephen and then on to have a look around the Stainmore Railway Company in the town although they weren't steaming any engines.  Apart from that we've been lazing about in the cottage and garden, reading, walking Ivy and enjoying the peace of being on holiday!  The California poppies look really pretty among a mass of forget-me-nots.

The lady who owns the cottage used to be a florist and all the beautiful flowers in our garden and in hers next door is proof of that.  My first extra shows the flower bed full of beautiful blooms outside their cottage and my second shows the pretty little vase of flowers which she'd left for us in the cottage when we arrived.

Tomorrow we'll start exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
