The Little Moments

By littlemoments

Pentecost

I started my day with a couple of hours praying in the middle of the night with a dear friend, which was a surprising and important time. I didn't have too long then before getting ready and on to set up for our prayer breakfast that was the official first activity of our final day. Bacon and friends and prayerful discussion was a good start.

I set the prayer room up for having the kids,  before we started the service. Birthday cake and joy and challenge. The kids were really on it today and we had a fabulous time. They spontaneously led the way with a brilliant idea for something to share with the community at the end part of the service. There was a lot of joy doing the prayer room wall too. Coming together with the rest of the community to round up the service was perfect.

Creative prayer with art, poetry etc for the afternoon was a very quiet time. But it meant I got some unexpected breathing and time with DT. The final celebration was a special time, gentle and beautiful examen of the week with a Lot of cake.

After all the clearing up, the 4 prayer team members present stopped and just sat in the space a while before we brought the week to a close. That time was a bonus.

My very full head decided after some hot food to go for a bit of time in the wind at sunset. It wasn't a spectacular one at all but watching the light fade over all the hills of buttercups was beautiful.
