What a difference...

...a year makes. Last year this was a huge mass of tangled, aphid-infested mildew-covered leaves, sprawling up over a shed and down on to the soil. The flower buds just withered and died. I decided that it had to be a 'kill or cure' approach, and pruned it very hard. Either it would die,  be dug out and replaced, or it would (fingers crossed!) thrive. It seems to be thriving! I can see it from the the kitchen window, and when I'm washing up the flowers, not yet fully out, are a delight!

Soul Choir this evening was also a delight, in a different sort of way!
