Waiting in today for a parcel from IKEA - a couple of small shelves for the bedroom and some coat hangers - but fortunately not for too long. It was here well before lunchtime, so in the afternoon I was able to walk into Holmfirth to post a card and to buy a few essentials, as well as collecting MrM's repeat prescription. His chosen pharmacy is the one near the surgery, rather than the one in the centre of Holmfirth, which means a longer walk. The surgery is conveniently near Lidl, so I popped in there for a few things and, predictable, bought more than I can comfortably carry back up the hill. It seemed like Everest by the time I reached the top!

After we'd eaten, MrM suggested making the most of the evening by walking round one of the reservoirs, and we drove to Winscar. (A bit of a surprise as I'd thought he'd meant Ingbirchworth!) We went a little further than last time we were there, and walked across the dam wall and on a footpath over the moor to look at the next bay of the reservoir. Glad it's been dry recently - looks like some of the footpath would be a peat bog after rain! Quite a few boats on the reservoir when we first arrived.
