River Findhorn

We visited Logie Steading today with the family. A place we always enjoy visiting when we’re up in Moray.

Apart from the cafe and various shops and galleries there are fantastic walks along the dramatic River Findhorn as it flies through a deep gorge on its way to the Moray Firth.

The waters of the Findhorn seem rather low and were slow moving, dark and mysterious. The beach deposits show how much higher it must have flowed during the winter.
