Legoland!

The first of two big birthday days out was...   Legoland!

It's a big place, and we enjoyed lots of different bits of it!  We started fairly gently by creating our own (more modest) vehicles to race and then getting our bearings, before a booked slot at Adventure Golf where we played the "Space Mission" and "Pirate Voyage" courses, both of which we loved.

Then we dived into Ninjago with a go on the Ninjago ride (little carts where you can use your hands to throw virtual fireballs at 3D baddies) and the Destiny's Bounty ride.

We had hot-dogs for lunch in the sunshine, before taking on some of the bigger rides attractions including the Driving School (CyclopsJnr successfully got his license), Fire Academy and Haunted House Monster Party.  Cyclops and CyclopsJnr also had a go on the new Minifigure Speedway ride - CyclopsJnr's first proper grown up roller-coaster which runs the track first forwards, then backwards.  Judging by the distressed noises, this may also be Cyclops last proper grown up roller-coaster!

We stopped in Windsor on the way back for some dinner, before getting to bed late, tired, but having enjoyed a great day!
