The White Camellia….

Ah… and dropping pollen. No doubt hoping some very late season bee will come along to make the most of the copious pollen. This is a Japanese variety, Camellia setsugekka. So delicate, so beautiful and wonderful for hedging. Friends living nearby have a big hedge of it along their property frontage. That hedge and its hundreds of flowers gives countless on-foot passersby tremendous pleasure. Alas the flowers are now past their best and fading fast. Sad.
It has been another cold day, cloudy and raw. About 10 minutes of sunshine. But not a drop of rain in sight. Bring back frost and sunshine.
