The Bon Sol Resort and Spa

Spent most the day lounging about in the hotel gardens sipping sangria and soaking up the sun … sensibly!

This photo taken from the beach shows the three levels which there are to ‘our’ hotel.  At the very top are the ‘castle’ ramparts which form the roof over the original hotel.  Years later the family which own the hotel took on an ambitious development programme.  

Firstly at the beach area where a restaurant, bar, swimming pool and villas were built. Then in the area between the hotel and the beachfront another building was added. This has several floors of junior suites, a spa, gymnasium, games room and parking.

The complex is built into a hillside. There is a public road between the hotel and the building with all the facilities and there is another road between that building and the seafront development!  By an ingenious series of lifts and passageways you can go from the very top to the bottom without having to go outside or cross either of the roads.

Given that this was all done many, many years ago it speaks volumes for the family’s far-sightedness and determination to make it all possible.  And it does work ,… very efficiently indeed! 


These days it is known as the Bon Sol Resort and Spa!!!
