Beneath Biscay

Better days

... have hopefully been seen by this old cafe restaurant in El Puerto de Santa María, near Cádiz. We stopped off here for lunch, en route to Cáceres where we would be stopping for the night to break up they journey back to Gijón. Fortunately there was a good choice of restaurants in a much better state of repair.

We didn't want to get to Cáceres before evening as the temperature was predicted to be about 40°C there during the afternoon. In the end we didn't arrive there until about 8pm but it was still baking hot.
