Beachside Living

We often think it would be fun to live right on the beach (not that we could actually afford ocean front living) rather than the 300 meters away where we currently reside. That discussion quickly falls apart when we see the effects the salt air can have on building materials. This fence as an example is on relatively calm Playa La Ropa. There are rarely big waves and no heavy spray, yet it is rusted and corroded anyway. I think a beachfront home would be a full-time maintenance issue, leaving much less time for the things we have come to enjoy in our Mexican life.
