Ceffyl Gwyn

Horse(s) today's Challenge topic;
The story of the "Ceffyl Gwyn" goes back almost thirty years for the Hughes family (us) an Uncle of our close friends who have lived here in Perth as long as we have, came for a visit in 1984 he was from Treorchy in South Wales, as is our friends, our youngest son Gareth who was four at the time just loved horses, we were altogether on a family BBQ one day, their family was our family and visa versa in those days and still is to this day. We passed a field not unlike this one on that day, there stood two white horses, Gareth shouted "White Horses!" Uncle Gwyn our family friend corrected him by saying "they are not just white horses their name is Ceffyl Gwyn"
So to this day the white horse is only known in our family as Ceffyl Gwyn, Gareth has had to explain his story countless times over the years as thats all he knows them by, his children call them that too, it seemed like a dejavous when we saw these today, Uncle Gwyn has long since passed on but a part of him still remains with us all.
The horses in these stables were well wrapped up in their winter coats too!!
