Ringed Plover - Charadrius hiaticula

With the high tide late this afternoon, the shore birds had less choice and some came nearer to the camera. Just managed 3 shots though before they flew off because a dog-waker was approaching. That is the problem with being near a large town and trying to photograph beside a long-distance footpath (The Fife Coastal Path).

I spent the rest of the afternoon photographing flowers - they at least can't escape!
Also, I know where they'll be tomorrow, and the day after. . . and the day after that so wild flowers may feature here over the coming days.
