Going Bonkers

These red soldier beetles (Rhagonycha fulva) are commonly called 'Hogweed Bonking Beetles' because they are often seen (on hogweed) conspicuously doing what comes naturally to them at this time of year. They take their time about it and remain virtually inactive so make an easy target for a quick macro shot.
