The Edge of the Wold

Crimson tide

The best sunset in a long time, and I missed most of it. We had a meeting at the house, and it went on longer than expected. Poor Gus was dying to go out, and so was I. A quick trip down to the prom, and the sunset sky was reflecting in the pooled water of the estuary. The heron was feeding actively (I sometimes wonder how much they eat in a day, as they have a high strike rate when feeding here - lots of flukes and crabs disappearing down the gullet).

So just a quick blip late tonight. A big thank you for the stars, hearts and comments for yesterday's dragon.

ps A year ago, another solitary bird in the estuary, a blip to mourn the passing of bwhere. Until then I had been ready to give up blipworld.
