Scoots, Shoots & Leaves

On the river

Catie and I had a bit of an adventure today (starting with a dead car battery, which delayed our trip by an hour or so). We drove east of Portland to find her grandfather's gravesite, in a tiny cemetery on a lovely hillside. Then we stopped at a county park so we could sit by the river for a while - it's been a pretty hot day. The park was swarming with people, mostly rafters and tubers - the sound of air pumps filled the air. We couldn't get right down to the river due to accessibility issues, but we had a lovely little respite for a half hour or so.

The twinkles on the water (sort of) fulfill today's song title challenge, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
