Bumblebee Bliss

A follow-up to last week's blip, The Lotus and the Bumblebee . . . :-)

The lotus flowers are in full bloom on the lily pond, and the scent of them is like honey to the bees. When I stopped by on Tuesday morning, the bees and other bugs were going crazy over them.

Itty bitty tiny bees, honey bees, and even a rather hefty bumblebee made their way into the opening heart of the luscious pink bloom. (And at the lower right, a preview of coming attractions: the tip of a new lotus bud.)
