Terra cotta balcony at sunset

It was the combination of color and light that drew my eye to this mini balcony. The terra cotta wall appeared warm and inviting, framed in the last light of the day.

The railing most likely serves more to prevent hapless individuals from tumbling onto the street than as a true balcony, but also served as a hanger for an assortment of wind chimes. And though the temperatures had taken a rather sudden plunge after this warm day, the fan in the next window spun away fiercely.
