Prickly Plants #1

The start of a series showing the prickly plants round our way... and there are quite a few! I don't know the names of most of them, although they get called b*****d regularly.

This looks like a sort of sea holly. What it's doing up a mountain, an hour from coast, I don't know... but there's a lot of it and I suppose the conditions are just as harsh.
