Day Five in Kos

We chilled by the pool all day, reading, podcasting, magazining, swimming, the usual.

[Cut scene]

This evening we took a coach trip from the hotel up into the hills of Kos, along a snaking road, to the little town of Zia. It has some lovely quaint shops along the main strip & down its sweet cobbled paths, & even out the back of a blue mini-van cruising up & down the street, clothing was on sale.

Following our short meander, we made our way to a beautiful terrace top restaurant. The Taverna Oremodon, with its white stone, blue plant pots & red flowers, has incredible views of the island & out to sea toward Turkey. There was a beautiful white church sat at the top of a hill, with a cross atop a domed roof, which couldn't help catch the eye. We enjoyed some local chilled white wine, our meal & settled into our front row seats to watch a picture perfect sunset. What a fantastic view & lovely night.

We also had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Jo & Paulo, also from England & staying at the hotel, they too enjoyed the panoramic views of Kos from the Taverna in Zia. Once back at the hotel, we sat with them, enjoying some drinks & having some laughs.
