It's been a while since we've visited the donkeys, but a short walk with 5yo over the moor to the playground. In the past week the moor has come alive with the summer butterflies. Today saw the first three of the second brood of Small Tortoiseshells, and we recorded 68 Ringlet, 22 Small Heath, 15 Meadow Brown, 8 Large Skipper, 2 Speckled Wood and a single Large White.
