There were scores of these at Trench Meadows, our local SSSI, along with even more Skippers, Ringlets and Five-Spot Burnet Moths. And orchids galore. On the way there, Baildon Bank was similarly alive, each step through the grass bring forth more butterflies, including the first Gatekeepers of the year.

I don't often see a Meadow Brown with wings open, so I've chosen that over some of the more colourful creatures.
