Animal behaviour

As you can see, it's freezing here and all of the males of this peculiar species are sticking to sa very small floating platform out in the bay. The females generally avoid the area, unless it is to retrieve lost or wayward little ones. They are sensible and stay where food and water is more plentiful and the noise levels of the raucous, testosterone fuelled displays can be seen for what they really are.
