The Kingston Hotel

My wrist was much improved this morning, and continued to improve throughout the day, confirming my own diagnosis of a sprain rather than anything more serious.

We watched an enjoyable cookery programme on TV which inspired Carl to prepare gorgeous bruschettas for brunch. We watched the Moto GP race from Germany (exciting enough, with a well-deserved second place for Carl Crutchlow and another podium finish for 'The Doctor'), and then went for a stroll around the farmers market in the People's Park, after which we went on to the pier and finished up in the garden at the Kingston Hotel (recently much improved).

It was a perfect afternoon, with the summer spell continuing in fine style. By eight o'clock we were feeling peckish, so went on for a meal in the Martello restaurant. The food was fine, if not really anything special. Coffee in Carl's afterwards, and I headed back home around 10:30 pm.
