Damselflies

There were multitudinous pairs of these over a pond this afternoon doing what comes naturally at this time of year. I assume the two on the left of this image are male and female but unfortunately it proved very difficult to photograph them and get them both in focus. What was even more disappointing was missing the image of the most beautiful dragonfly whose arrival preceded the damselflies.
Never mind - this is the best blip I could get and it's good enough for now!
Phew, what a scorcher!
