16 Days#10: A little local colour.

So I was well enough to get out on crutches today, despite a dodgy stomach to accompany my bad back. Took a taxi into Valletta to the rather quaint War Museum ... Small but with lots on interesting stuff. Then came across a very noisy and colourful celebration for the feast of our lady of Mount Carmel. Ever seen the festivities in The Godfather movies? Just like that only without anyone getting killed.

Did a long harbour tour which more or less finished me off so took a taxi back to the hotel and went to bed for an hour.

Lovely evening in a rooftop terrace restaurant but I have to say the portions are daunting, even more so if you are under the weather. Introduced The Dizzle to six degrees of  Kevin Bacon.

Been a good week. Would like to come back (self catering) and do Gozo and a couple of other missed things ...

PS lovely face time with The Girl Racer in New Zealand this morning - she is so happy - and a photo of the cats from Top Gun!
