The only sensible way to exercise

is to walk through the sea

Hot

Hot hot hot

It was 35 degrees when we left the house to take the dog to the beach. That was at 1.30.
It got hotter as the day went on.
by 5pm it was hazy and sticky. Tess had an after-school picnic and came home very hot and grumpy. She did enjoy it though.

I made a start on the VAT return today.

Richard had a check-up with his ENT surgeon at the hospital. His specialist is convinced Richard has asthma. He said he can see his polyps coming back after only 5 months but they're not massive yet. We've had a few bad nights with Richard being wheezy but hopefully a course of steroids he's been prescribed for a week will help.

Joel worked today and Gemma stayed home. She seems low.
I expect 18 is a common age for feeling low. There's too much pressure to transform into a fully-formed, fully capable, fully functional adult with set ambitions at that age.

Better not get started on my feelings about the word "ambitions" right now - I'll be here all night.

Richard is currently outside in the half-light (it's 20 to ten) trying to cool off. I think I'll join him for 10 minutes.
