It did add a hilarious element of surprise to Linda's retirement party.

First social night with friends and colleagues since the operation, in all honesty it was the first time I have felt human on a night out for at least a couple of years. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel, but I relaxed fairly quickly when it became apparent that they had forgiven me for skiving off for four months. Haha.

It was good and great to chat with a friend who I gave a lift home to as well.
