Anatole's blips

Dinnertime interruption

It was just too hot to go walking on the hills today - we have just spent the day recovering from yesterday and generally just keeping in the shade and appreciating the West Highland air. My blip was all set to be an overheated Blackbird cooking its feathers in the sun to get rid of unwanted parasites, but our dinner was interrupted by the neighbours who just wanted to get in on the action. The adult Pine Marten was a little more circumspect, but the youngsters were on the rampage, sticking their noses into everything. If I hadn't moved I think they'd have been sampling my toes.
