Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Gangnam Style Leap!

A splendid day!
The grandsons arrived early this morning and went with us on our walk up the steps , (a bit faster than we do it - like, they RUN) and counting them all (mostly) up and down (562?) including lots of exploring the extensive mountain bike course built in Colonnade Park under the freeway. (photos at the end of this link for any crazy bike riders out there.) They can come back sometime with their bikes --and their Dad --and their body armor! Much fun to walk with them, Oskar recited all the US presidents in order, frontwards and backwards! Niklas says he's going to learn to row at our grandkid camp next month!
Of course a stop at Starbucks on the way home for snacks!
Then a short trip to the Seattle Art museum--the Japanese fashion show (Future Beauty: 30 years of Japanese Fashion)- I confess because I wanted to see it. But they were interested in a lot of it ---great videos of runways full of people dressed in weird looking outfits made out of weird materials - the best was a helicopter arriving on one, in driving rain, and out pop a whole crew on roller skates and wild outfits. Anime and Manga fashion -- they both know more about both than I do. Down the harbor steps to the crowded colorful waterfront where we ended up on the uncrowded outdoor balcony of the Aquarium for lunch and checked out our favorite exhibits, including the new space for those harbor seals. We needed a bit of down time then at home before picking up Fiona from school and meeting the rest of the family at the pool for a swim and a barbecue supper. Everyone had a great time playing in the pool - but I couldn't resist this one of Niklas Oskar and Tatum jumping for pure joy! Pretty soon Fiona will be jumping in the deep end with them!

Will put a few more on flickr for the family later...---I had the little camera downtown and forgot to check the battery which of course ran out....
