Opening night at the Theatre Talpa

We have the two younger Talpids staying with us whilst their parents enjoy themselves at a country wedding.

They were up at cockcrow and by the time that I emerged they had already drawn and cut out a whole set of characters for some form of puppet theatre. This, I think, was the dress rehearsal. The opening matinee is scheduled for after a working lunch of white-bread fish-finger sandwiches. My favourite but sadly only allowed when the Talpids are in residence!
