Having decided to wear a vest top and asking Fi to put high factor suncream on the bits I couldn't reach, I found we were going to a crag that was in the shade from 11am onwards! But it was pleasant to be relatively cool.
The routes were lovely and we had a good day, but we got absolutely filthy as the rock was covered in a layer of fine mud dust, and of course the ropes are already making our hands black even though we lay them on a tarp.
Because the venue is in the shade, after midday when the crag opposite comes into the sun, lots of climbers turn up looking for coolness and it gets very crowded.
Back to the hotel for a beer and then a swim and a bit of a sunbathe. Later a meal with glorious sunset views.
