What a very long, but good, day!

We caught the ferry over to Tolendos, paying extra to be dropped near the climbing. I'd taken a tablet as I'm prone to sea sickness... so that was okay.

We climbed for about 5 hours, although there was a lot of just watching for the last 2 due to heat and tiredness. I try to make sure I drink both water bottles i.e. 1.75 litres total, but sometimes it's difficult.

I led a 4c, toproped a horrible 5a - which everyone agreed should've been 5c - then led a rather nicer 5a, my second ever!

We walked back to the main town along a never ending path, with plenty of scrambly bits and up and down rocks, and joined up with the non climbing members at a bar where beer was had. Beer turned into an evening meal and then we caught the ferry back to Kalymnos.

Some were going to a bar, but I didn't need any more beer and went back to the hotel. A very satisfying day!

P.S. we saw several Eleonora's Falcons, what fantastic birds, so streamlined and fast flying, and witnessed two of them chasing a crow type bird. Not sure if they were driving it off, since their young are hatched in the autumn, or whether he was potentially dinner!
