Goodbye Kalymnos!

We picked out the zigzag path leading to the high point in the centre of this view, the walk we did last week, as we took the ferry to Kos and the plane. Sat up on deck in the sun and wind it was a lovely crossing, even if the whole of the rest of the day was an awful lot of hanging around!

I shan't miss the hundreds of scooters, mostly hired by climbers, revving and spluttering everywhere so that it was impossible to avoid breathing in the exhaust fumes.

I'm looking forward to having more vegetables because there have been very few on offer apart from chips, peppers and aubergine. I'm fed up of limited salads ie lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion and olives, although I did have one of red and white cabbage which was a nice change. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed most of the food, but it was quite similar to Spain with too much meat and processed meat and cheese on offer.

I think I'm maybe turning into my Dad who often complained (mostly about Wiltshire Farmfoods) that "There just aren't enough veg-et-ables!"
