Picnic

This evening, James' parents joined us for an Al Fresco Concert at the Caramoor Music Festival.

James' parents are wonderful to us, cooking for us almost every Sunday (the other Sundays my Mom does it :-). It was nice to be able to treat them for once.

I cooked some of our favorites and it was so tasty!

Bob invited himself to numerous picnic tables - mooching food and socializing. The first friends he made were two 6 year old girls and they played off and on for the next 2 hours. He mooched salami, tortilla chips, and a chocolate covered marshmallow. They refused our food until I brought out the banana bread. At the end of the concert, we made a date to return in 2 weeks to share another picnic. Bob seems to have that effect on women, but maybe it was the bread.

Bob was also quite good with the younger children, as you can see here. But he did tell the Dad that his red wagon was OK, but our new red wagon is PERFECT. He is sometimes painfully honest!

Tomorrow it is back to the real world. It has been a great weekend.
