Brantome in the rain

Our first day of rain. It had rained overnight and was still raining in the morning. We packed up and went into Brantome hoping to take some photos but it was still very wet. Before heading north we went for a coffee. On a visit to their facilities was amused to find one wall was the original rock.

Got to Nontron where we had lunch. It had rained all the way there and was still raining after lunch. We carried on north and arrived at Marval where my brother has a house. The rain stopped in the evening and they took us to a restaurant in a small village where we had a very nice dinner - the homemade pate was to die for.

It was bliss not having to put up a tent, bliss to sleep in a proper bed and bliss that we would not have to pack up in the morning. 43km
